People Who Claim to Have Travelled Through Time
Please enter comments on this post by signing in to our guest book.
A man named “Noah” claiming to be a time traveller from the year 2030, who just happens to be visiting 2018 right now, has all kinds of ideas about what’s going to happen in the next 12 years. While people making claims of travelling through time are nothing new, “Noah” has released a YouTube video saying that he needs to prove that time travel is possible and that technology to do so has been used since 2003 (but only by top-secret agencies).
His list of somewhat shaky “facts” includes:
- Donald Trump will win reelection in 2020
- Electric cars and self-driving cars will be dramatically improved, and a Consumer Electric car will be able to drive 600 miles on a single charge by 2021
- In the year 2028, the government will admit that time l is real, and that it’ll be open to the public (but why is Noah the only one visiting 2018?)
He’s not the only person to make wild claims about time travel, though. Two more fairly famous cases – John Titor and Andrew Basiago – are some of the most recent.
An old overnight talk show host. Art Bell, claimed to have received two faxes back in 1998 from a man named John Titor. Bell read the faxes on the air, claiming that one said, “I have been on this world line since April of this year and I plan to leave soon. Typically time travellers do not purposely affect the world lines they visit. However this mission is unusually long and I've grown attached to some of the people I have met here.”
Titor claimed to have been from the year 2036 and said he was a veteran of the second American Civil War, in which he fought as a member of the Fighting Diamondbacks. According to Titor, the war took place in 2013.
Andrew Basiago, an attorney from Vancouver, Washington, claims to be the man who discovered life on Mars. He claims to have participated in a secret DARPA program that involved time travel and teleportation in the early 1970s, and he says that he’s travelled more than a million years in the past. Basiago also says he was at Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and travelled forward to 2045. He says that former President Barack Obama was one of his fellow Mars travellers, and that he’s following in Obama’s footsteps by running for president himself – he campaigned in 2016 and plans to run again in 2020. (But according to his fellow time ler Noah, he’ll lose to Trump.)
What Do You Think?
Do you think these “time travellers” are crazy, or have you read enough about them to think there might be some truth in what they’re saying? I’d love to hear your thoughts, so please share them on my Facebook page or on Twitter.
